Peter Lavelle, Co-Founder and Fitness Specialist for Ultimate Bootcamp, will hold a class for L Street members on Tuesday, February 9 at 6 p.m. in the senior lunch room, located at the M Street entrance of the Curley Recreation Center. The class will help those training for the marathon learn strength training exercises they can do on their own to help them have a better race and stay injury free! The class will last approximately 30-40 minutes. Runners are encouraged to do their regularly scheduled run after the class.
A native of Ireland, Peter has worked in the sports and fitness industry for several years as a fully certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and has a certificate in Sports Nutrition. His energetic and entertaining training style keeps participants smiling as their bodies burn calories "like a furnace." As a Personal Trainer for Ultimate Bootcamp, Peter works with a variety of clients whose goals range from weight loss to increasing athletic ability and performance. Peter's sporting interests include multi-sport events such as triathlons, as well as running marathons. His philosophy is: "We're not here for a long time - we're here for a good time."
