After a rough day out there, getting destroyed by the heat, and basically wanting to call it a day after the first 10K, there's nothing like crossing the finish line, getting your medal and the coveted space blanket! There's also nothing like seeing the L. Street van and so many of your club friends waiting for you. But L. Street doesn't stop there! Thank you to Joe P and his crew for an AWESOME after party back at M Street. The food was delicious! You did a spectacular job.
Thanks to Carol for setting up Shenanigans! Great time as always! When's the next one? (Party - not marathon!)
Congratulations to everyone who ran - I hope you felt better than I did! I think at mile 16 I said "That's it...I will never f&!^ing do this again"....but of course I'll be back! I'm going to start praying for 40 degrees and overcast right now though!
